Hong Kong (China), 28 de octubre de 2025 – Durante su visita oficial a la Región Administrativa Especial de Hong Kong, el Embajador de Colombia en la República Popular China, Sergio Fausto Cabrera Cárdenas, junto con el Cónsul General de Colombia, Luis Fernando Orozco Barrera, sostuvieron una reunión estratégica con la Secretaria de Transporte y Logística, Sra. Mable Chan, para avanzar en la negociación de un Acuerdo de Servicios Aéreos entre ambas jurisdicciones.
Este acuerdo busca fortalecer la conectividad aérea, facilitar el comercio bilateral, dinamizar el turismo y atraer inversión, generando beneficios mutuos para operadores y pasajeros.
La iniciativa se alinea con el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo y el Plan Sectorial de Turismo de Colombia, que proyectan atraer más de 7,5 millones de turistas anuales y consolidar al país como uno de los principales hubs turísticos y de pasajeros internacionales de toda América Latina.
El Aeropuerto Internacional de Hong Kong (HKIA) es uno de los mayores centros aéreos del mundo, con más de 180 destinos internacionales y un tránsito superior a 70 millones de pasajeros anuales antes de la pandemia. Por su parte, Colombia cuenta con 17 aeropuertos internacionales y una ubicación estratégica en el corazón de América, lo que la convierte en un punto natural de conexión entre Asia y Latinoamérica.
La firma de este acuerdo representaría un paso clave hacia una mayor integración económica, turística y logística, abriendo nuevas oportunidades para empresas, inversionistas y viajeros en ambos mercados.

Hong Kong, October 28, 2025 – During his official visit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Ambassador of Colombia to the People’s Republic of China, Sergio Fausto Cabrera Cárdenas, together with Luis Orozco, Consul General of Colombia, held a strategic meeting with Hong Kong’s Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Ms. Mable Chan, to advance negotiations on an Air Services Agreement between the two jurisdictions.
This agreement aims to strengthen air connectivity, facilitate bilateral trade, promote tourism, and attract investment—delivering mutual benefits for operators and passengers. The initiative aligns with Colombia’s National Development Plan and Tourism Sector Plan, which target attracting more than 7.5 million tourists annually and positioning the country as a leading tourism hub in Latin America.
